URBAN STAGE
For my final first-year project, I designed a temporary stage for the Eisteddfodd Festival in Cardiff Bay. The stage caters to a wide range of performances, blending functional elements like acoustics and accessibility with aesthetic features that celebrate Welsh culture. My design focuses on sustainability, ease of assembly, and seamless integration into the natural surroundings, ensuring a memorable experience for both performers and audiences.

By testing out how the fabric pulls with tension and sits when pulled in certain directions and what materials can best replicate and represent how tensile fabric would act in my design, I was able to develop my understanding of the materiality I was using and abled me to accurately draw my elevations and sections while considering the supports the structrue would need.
